The technician just did the minimum when checking my AC unit. Opened the bottom panel on my furnace/blower unit. Other companies opened up the coil unit and inspected it. Also check the temperature comping out of the vents. As for the AC unit outside. He checked the voltage coming from the wires and also the current control. Replaced the current control because he said it was going bad, by just how much hot tot he touch it was. Not even sure if he replaced the the the old current control with a correct current control unit. By just going with the size. Time will tell. Hopefully it will not damage my AC unit. That will really piss me off and summer is coming!!! Also the gave a new air filter to replace the dirty filter and he damaged it. Said he had one to replace the ones he damaged. He replaced it with a cheap air filter that bowed upwards when the air was on. The cardboard was so damaged on the filter it was even rigid. This is their first time at the house. Not sure if I want themTo check on my AC unit again. He didn't do a good job at making me feel confident that my AC unit is going to be ready for the summer. Intelligent Design need to improve on how they check their customers AC units.
Anthony was dispatched to my house yesterday because I was concerned about my AC unit not releasing condensation through the pipes to the outside of my house, and possibly leaking water in my attic instead. He allayed my worries by explaining that it most likely is not leaking in my attic due to the following reasons:1) the humidity levels are very low this time of year, which means AC units don’t produce much, if any, condensation. In other words, very few AC units in our area will have condensation this time of year.2) the unit has a fail safe system that will shut off the power whole unit if condensation is building up. The fact that our units are still running perfectly indicates there is no condensation.3) there is another line of defense in place to prevent leaks: a pan to catch excess condensation which is connected to pipes that lead to the outside of our house up high near the roof. The fact that no water is dripping from those pipes indicates that there is no condensation.Anthony was knowledgeable and respectful in explaining these things to me, who knows next to nothing when it comes to this topic. My mind is now at ease that we won’t be having water damage because of a leak in our attic.

A representative came out promptly to provide a quote and emailed it to me within the hour. I had questions regarding the quote and sent an email. I received an initial reply of in essence that is our quote. I followed up with a couple more emails but never received a reply. I would have to question their ability to provide great service after an install. I will be going elsewhere to get a water softener installed.
